MEET YOUR FARMERS AND RANCHERS (Preorders available for dairy, eggs and extras)
We know personally, or have come to know based on personal referrals, all of our producers here at Eden's. Here is your chance to get to meet them before you come out and shop from them. We think you'll find them all enchanting, warm, sincere and hard working folks who have you and your family's best health in mind. All of these farmers/ranchers/producers may not be able to attend every market due to other commitments. Many offer the opportunity for you to pre-order items from them. This is not only a good way to assure you're favorite cut of steak or eggs will be waiting for you, but a show of support that they'll have some product sold for some of them who travel a bit of a way to come. Most of our farms and ranches are within less than 100 miles of our farm in Balch Springs, but a few come further to help fill the void in the metroplex of "clean" farms growing produce.

Our cattle graze free range and we manage the grazing pattern of our livestock to enhance the growth of the pasture, the health of the land and nutritional value of our product.

Carol Moss grows
Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) heirloom vegetables, herbs, melons
and pears on less than an acre in Collin County. The land has been organically
managed for 25 years.
Carol established the farm in 2004 using permanent raised beds enriched with compost, companion planting of flowers and herbs to encourage beneficial insects and practicing seed saving to grow and preserve heirloom varieties for today and for the future. I've known Carol for a couple of years and learned many farming tips from her. Come taste the fruits from a local, hard working farmer!
510 Harwood Rd. Sonja Sarr-Steinbach is a personal friend of the farm and a fellow horse lover/owner. Now open in Bedford, Sonja prepares tasty home baked organic goodies and brings some to the farm, just for Eden's Market customers. Come see the beautiful and delicious breads, pies and other baked items available. Your sweet tooth and bread knife will be glad you did.

With 40,000 olive trees located south of Carrizo Springs, Texas Olive Ranch is the premier producer of Texas grown olive oil. They harvest mechanically and *cold press their olives in their own mills producing the highest quality *extra virgin olive oil. Speaking with Jim Henry the owner of TOR, their future plans are to apply for USDA Organic certification next year. We are very excited to offer TOR quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars to our Market Day customers! *Cold pressed means "that the oil was not heated over a certain temperature (usually 80 degrees Fahrenheit) during processing, thus retaining more nutrients and undergoing less degradation. (source; wikipedia) *Oil was produced by the use of physical means and no chemical treatment.

Crops include; blackberries, sweet corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini, potatoes, sweet potatoes, okra, mustard greens, carrots, spinach and some beans.
